N-ACES INSTRUCTOR COURSE

This course will teach you how to introduce the concepts of crisis resource management skills and provide effective feedback to participants who are practicing the approach strategies and the practical skills required in the management of a medical emergency. Custom designed for physicians and nurses/nurse practitioners in Canada and abroad who teach other physicians, residents or other professionals how to manage a medical crisis using theatre-based simulation. Upon successful completion of the Royal College’s ACES-IC, participants will be able to perform the following tasks:
Day 1: Workshop Day 2-3: Practical application with N-ACES course The first day of the instructor course is a one-day workshop with a low participant-instructor ratio that introduces CRM principles, debriefing cognitive theory as well as how to provide effective feedback in standard and difficult debriefing scenarios. During the next two days, participants will apply the facilitation and debriefing skills learned on Day 1. As a newly trained instructor in CRM simulation, you will get the chance to run cases as well as debrief incoming first year Critical Care fellows. Instructor course participants will be paired with senior instructors for mentoring and debriefing through the 2-day National ACES course. Cancellation Policy Cancellations will only be accepted on or before June 25, 2025. Please note there is a 10% administration fee applied to all cancellations.
