N-ACES National Acute Critical Event Simulation Course July 9 - 11
N-ACES welcomes critical care trainees from the 13 adult critical care programs in Canada as an introductory preparatory largely simulation-based experience. This annual course is an excellent opportunity for residents to network and meet their colleagues from across the country. A shared start to their training will help foster lifelong friendships and collaborations. The goal of N-ACES is to rapidly upgrade the trainees’ knowledge and skills in the early management of critically ill patients. The course will maintain its small group learning approach using multiple modes of instruction, including a high proportion of experiential learning through a variety of simulation modalities (e.g. facilitated case scenarios, phone simulation, etc.) and interactive group sessions with expert critical care faculty. |
